There were three Dublin winners at this year’s Irish Pub Awards, the sixth time the awards have been held.
The Liberty Belle in The Liberties was crowned ‘Best Local Pub’.
Wrights Cafe Bar in Swords took the honour of ‘Best Late-Night Bar’.
While Fagan’s of Drumcondra picked up the award for ‘Best Match Day Pub’.
Malzards Pub in Stoneyford, Co. Kilkenny were named the overall ‘National Pub of the Year’.
They became the second Kilkenny pub to receive this honour, following in the footsteps of Paris, Texas.
LVA Chair, Willie Aherne said, “It is fantastic to see these excellent Dublin pubs receive this recognition and to be honoured on a national basis. Our congratulations go out to them, to all the other winners as well as the many regional winners from around the country. Special congratulations to Malzards too on picking up the ‘National Pub of the Year’ Award.”
