The Licensed Vintners Association (LVA) has announced the launch of a new partnership with TheTaste.ie aimed at highlighting the quality of food available in Dublin pubs. The campaign, which starts today, will see a recipe from different LVA member pubs featured each week on TheTaste.ie, the renowned food focused website and magazine.
All the recipes selected will seek to showcase the high calibre of food that is available in Dublin pubs.
The partnership will run over the course of the next six months with the recipes shared on TheTaste.ie website, their daily ezine as well as the LVA’s and TheTaste.ie’s social media channels.
A special hashtag has also been developed for the campaign – #DubPubDishes
The first recipe featured is ‘Roast Rack of Wicklow Lamb’ from The Bank on College Green.
Speaking about the partnership, LVA Chief Executive Donall O’Keeffe said, “Anyone who has eaten in Dublin pubs in recent times will be aware of how much the food has improved in recent years. Quality meals using the freshest, top quality ingredients are being provided in many Dublin pubs – with dishes that encapsulate a variety of different influences and inspirations available.
“It is fair to say that some of the dishes you can order in Dublin pubs are of the very highest calibre of food available in Dublin. There is food available which will meet the tastes of all palates and which cover off a multitude of different cuisines.
“Through the promotion of these recipes each week and the launch of our new campaign hashtag #DubPubDishes, we expect to see awareness about the scope and taste of Dublin pub food to spread. We have no doubt that the recipes chosen will tantalise the taste buds of foodies and the general public alike over the weeks and months ahead.
“We would encourage anyone who is curious about this campaign and about Dublin pub food to check out the quality for themselves by going to their local pub and seeing the great food that is on offer,” Mr. O’Keeffe concluded.
